So who's it going to be? With the NFL Draft just a day away, we will soon know exactly what the Eagles plan to do with their first round selection. Will they take our advice (check the poll on the right) and take a wide receiver, or will they take an offensive lineman like they always do? Will they trade up using their glut of later picks, or will they trade down to further stockpile choices?A Brief Conversation With Mike Mamula [Mamula]

The Eagles have acquired running back Lorenzo Booker from the Miami Dolphins. The Dolphins will get the Eagles fourth round draft pick for the veteran running back. Booker was a third round pick by the Dolphins last year, and he rushed for 125 yards on 28 carries in 2007. He was mostly a third down back last season for Miami, catching 28 passes for 237 yards. After trading down twice and selecting a defensive tackle who may have been a reach and a speedy but tiny wideout, the Eagles have nine more selections to make on the second day of the NFL Draft. The 2008 NFL Draft is over and the Philadelphia Eagles have made a total of 10 selections. What a weekend it was for the draft! Actually, not really. With the exception of Desean Jackson’s mini-slide (fall to the 2nd round), most of the Cal players were taken about where most draft scouts expected them to. By the time the draft was over, 6 Cal players were taken, and I expect a few more to sign in free agency over the course of the next few weeks or months (Robert Jordan, Andrew LarsonEvaluating Another Head-Scratcher Eagles Draft

King listed the Eagles as one of his 5 teams he liked on draft weekend. 2. Philadelphia. The Eagles always ask for too much in trade. Always. DeSean Jackson is perhaps the most explosive player in the entire 2008 draft and the Birds nabbed him in the 2nd round.
