Jason Varitek hit a 2-run home run and Jon Lester went 7 1/3 innings to help the Boston Red Sox get by the hapless Seattle Mariners 4-0 in front of 37,861 at Safeco Field. The win puts an end a 3-game losing streak to start this road trip and ends their 5-game road losing streak. [link]
