It’s certainly a baby step, but Orlando Hernandez has shed the protective boot on his right foot. Assistant GM John Ricco said El Duque, who visited team doctors in New York on Tuesday, no longer has tenderness with the tendon that was plaguing him, though his bunion remains. Hernandez has been cleared to do light throwing and jogging. He’s still a long way from returning. [link]
