Former Devil Ray, current National Elijah Dukes is due in court Tuesday as another woman seeks a protection order against him. She claims he sent her threatening text messages on Oct 23. But Dukes was playing baseball that night in the Dominican Republic.... is he really crazy enough to be doing that? Plus reactions from his agent and Nationals President Stan Kasten.

FanHouse — ... That's one way to beat a rap. Of course, maybe we were a bit quick to dump on Dukes when the news broke about the restraining order yesterday. As Bugs & Cranks points out, Dukes was actually in the Dominican Republic playing a game on the evening that he allegedly sent harassing text messages to Reese. That's not to say that he didn't do it, but if he did, it at least diminishes the idea that he posed an immediate threat. This chapter of Dukes' life is closed.
