Elton Brand played the game of free agency by the rules. There was no lying that had to take place for him to get out of his current contract. There was no inability on the Clippers' part to offer him as much as he wanted. That wasn't the case four years ago in Cleveland with the Cavs and another undersized power forward out of Duke, and that's why Elton Brand is no Carlos Boozer.
