 Enough Whining Over UCLA Non-Calls
That seems to be the theme around college hoops lately — UCLA and all the great calls they’ve received from officials. Sure, I admitted they benefited against Stanford and Cal down the stretch, but people are now bringing up the Texas A&M game as well. First it was a co-worker saying there was a non-call, then an email, and then a few different stories and message boards ... [link]

Sweet 16 Pants Party: UCLA Vs. Western Kentucky [Sweet 16]
Published 3/27/2008 by Leitch at Deadspin
... 2. Wild Accusations! Yeah, so over the past couple weeks, some whiny vaginas people have claimed that UCLA has received favorable calls in the waning seconds of close games. These expert analysts accurately point out that the referees have been paid off by UCLA, and that they are favorable to the Bruins because John Wooden is recovering from an unfortunate fall, and a UCLA championship would be a feel-good story. While most UCLA fans have provided thoughtful ...

The Refs Seem To Like This UCLA Team
A&M;'s Donald Sloan walked away with lacerated wrists, a bruised elbow and herpes. What he didn't get was two free shots. Overlooked in a day filled with great games and big upsets was UCLA pulling out a weak win over Texas A&M; in the final seconds and the suspect non-call shown above. That really couldn't be a more blatant missed call (but makes a little more sense when you realize that ...
Photo of the Weekend: UCLA "Non-Foul" on Texas A&M's Donald Sloan
I'm still not over this image (found on Rush the Court via Deadspin ) from Saturday night's UCLA-Texas A&M game. The last thing that should surprise anyone is a final second call going UCLA's way, but now it's getting out of hand. We may have to classify a bruin as a member of the felid family, as they're currently working on their fourth life. I'm always in favor of letting ...
NCAA Officiating Has Been Interesting So Far
College basketball officiating is always interesting and this weekend was no exception with technical fouls being given out like passes for a free chicken sandwich at Chick-Fila and of course this fine no-call at the end of the UCLA-Texas A&M on Saturday night. Now, I agree the UCLA is an excellent defensive team and yes this kid still needs to make the FTs at which point UCLA ...

Duke bashers, don’t worry about the Blue Devils’ exit from the tourney. If you’re looking for a new foul-favored villain to root against, try UCLA. The Bruins already had some questionable last-second wins over Stanford and California late in the regular season. And SbBer KT sends over some photographic proof that the refs blew another call to the benefit the Bruins.  ...
Pics of the Night
If you’re expecting more Erin Andrews , you’re out of luck unless you want to check out the link (and we suggest you do). Tonight I will leave you with these pics that I found on a Texas A&M message board : It’s a good thing that UCLA got away with it instead of Duke. If that had been Kyle Singler instead of Josh Shipp hacking Donald Sloan, the masses would be ...
