Longtime U.S. women's captain and current ESPNer Julie Foudy joins the ranks of the bloggers with a few jokes about joining the ranks of the bloggers, followed by a pointed commentary on the idea of an Olympic boycott:  "There are plenty of other avenues and arenas to explore with China, rather than using Olympic athletes as pawns in this political game." She also talks about the ultra-fast swimsuits that essentially turn Olympic swimmers into human torpedoes. I talked with Foudy's husband, newly named Jersey Sky Blue coach Ian Sawyers, this afternoon about the new women's league. More on that later in the week.
