4/10 Double Dribbles
Fear The Sword —
... ESPN.com and many other outlets are reporting that Texas freshman Kevin Durant will leave school early and enter the NBA draft. Like it or hate it, this decision is the best for Durant, who would be hard pressed to improve upon a freshman season that saw him win every notable award in college basketball.
Durant Is In
Boston Sports Nation —
... It is all but official now as ESPN and the Dallas Morning news are reporting Kevin Durant will enter the draft. Two unnamed sources close to the Longhorn’s program are reportedly breaking the news. Durants official announcement is expected to come sometime this week according to the Houston Chronicle. This really is not anything unexpected and although it is a little annoying that the official statement can’t just come from Durant now, this is good enough for me.

... Kevin Durant decides that school’s out; he declares for NBA draft. Can anyone here say they’d honestly do differently? Didn’t we go to college for girls/boys, drugs and alcohol? He’ll get plenty of those in the NBA.

... It sounds as if the best player in college basketball last season is going to declare himself eligible for the 2007 NBA Draft. During his one season at Texas, Kevin Durant led the Longhorns to a 25-10 record while averaging 25.8 points, 11.1 rebounds and 1.91 blocks per game. His list of accolades is impeccable:
Nothing's Shocking.
Signal to Noise —
... Texas Longhorn fans will have to accept that the last time they saw Kevin Durant in the burnt orange will be the last time he'll be in the burnt orange, as he shocked absolutely no one by saying he will enter the 2007 NBA draft.

... Kevin Durant took the leap today and announced he will enter the NBA draft . This does not come as much of a surprise. The money is too much to turn down. I would never feel bad for a guy in his situation. Yet I look at my massive student loans and don't regret my four years in college. Granted no one was going to pay me millions until of course SBN came calling. But it seems like Durant wanted to do at least 2 years. He's going to miss Austin next year. In closing check out his stats. They are even better than I remember:
