Tigers' Perez tests positive for banned stimulant
DETROIT -- Detroit Tigers infielder Neifi Perez was suspended 25 games Friday, the first player penalized for testing positive for a stimulant under Major League Baseball's drug program. Perez, a seldom-used utility player, is hitting .172 with one home run and six RBIs in 64 at-bats in the team's first 83 games. Surely not Neifi!
GoatRiders of the Apocalypse — Shocker news story of the day: MLB has suspended Tigers infielder Neifi Perez for 25 games for testing positive for a banned stimulant. Feel free to insert your own joke about how, if stimulants help players perform, just how bad will Neifi be when he gets back? So far this year, our former Chicago hero (snicker) is batting .172 with 1 homerun, 3 doubles, and 6 RBI in 64 at bats. Unfortunately, Neifi was unable to comment on the matter as he was too busy mindlessly grinding his teeth while maniacally cleaning his apartment at 4:30 in the morning.

Neifi Perez is Speedy in More Ways than One
Snobs vs. SlobsThe First Pitch Express got caught with some amphetamines. This is Neifi s second offense (on your first amphetamine offense you re not named and you re required to get counseling), and amphetamines testing only started last year, so you ve gotta figure Neifi s been rolling with the greenies for a while. If this doesn t prove to you that performance-enhancing drugs don t help that much, then nothing will. For every Rafael Palmeiro, Barry Bonds, Gary Sheffield and Jason Giambi, there is an Alex Sanchez, Jason Grimsley, Mike Morse, Augustin Montero, and Neifi Perez. I know, I know, Neifi only took amphetamines, not steroids. But still. This is a substance that has been banned by Major League Baseball because they think it is a Performance Enhancing Drug. Has using amphetamines made Neifi Perez Enhanced Neifi s Performance? The only thing that can enhance Neifi Perez s performance is a good, solid piece of pine that h ...
