Los Angeles Galaxy officials have confirmed that the club is in negotiations to play a friendly match with the Iranian national team sometime in May. Galaxy assistant general manager Tom Payne has been working on the arrangements. While they have not been finalized, Payne acknowledged that the two organizations have entered the "preliminary stages." Thanks to jay-to-the-z for the heads up that Major League Soccer’s Los Angeles Galaxy are working on scheduling a friendly match against the Iranian National Team in May. We’re not sure if an invasion of said country would take the “keen wing-ding-ness” out of the friendly, but we have to imagine that to be the case.
