Even the cops in Kansas were on top of their game last night
When it's a school's night to shine, everybody shines. Cops included. This snippet comes from an AP article discussing the national title celebrations that went down back in Lawrence last night . I found it amusing. An hour after the game, the only visible police action occurred when a young man carrying three bottles of beer walked to up to three policemen and began to ... [link]

... abilities. All season, he stuck by his "we hit 'em when they count" mantra. Clearly, he wasn't fooling anybody but himself. But don't worry, Calipari will continue to deny that they lost because of missed free throws. It was all those other plays that lost it for Memphis. Right, that's it. A big congrats to Kansas as well. It was truly an amazing game, and worth staying up past my bed time on a school night, to be certain. But don't celebrate too hard, kids. His girlfriend high-fived the policemen and told them, “Thanks for being nice.” Excellent: No tear gas, no bloody riots, no looting — just some raucous celebrating and vomiting. I guess that’s what happens when you’re so drunk the only thing you can tangibly accomplish is screaming: “MARRRRRIOOOOO!” {Via the Dagger. Mario Chalmers sends NCAA championship game to OT: Super Mario saves the day
Published 4/8/2008 by houroc at SportFiends
It was a good night for Kansas Jayhawks fans. Their team won the National Championship for the first time in 20 years, the cops were actually cool for once, and there was even a Roy Williams sighting at the game. Heres the proof: Even though most Kansas fans hate Roy Williams, he still loves them. He was even wearing the shirt. The highlight of the game was the incredible Mario Chalmers shot that put the game into overtime, where the Jayhawks would pull away. ...
