... crushed Buffalo Bills third-year tight end Kevin Everett's spinal cord and spine as he attempted a tackle in Sunday's game against the Denver Broncos. The human body is not made to sustain a blow like that; regardless if that person is a well-conditioned professional athlete. A full recovery is not likely, said the surgeon who operated on Everett. This quote is bothersome from punter teammate Brian Moorman, who was waiting for a thumbs up as Everett was carted off the field. "That's what I was waiting for, and that's what everybody else was waiting for," Moorman said. "And to have to walk back to the sideline and not see that made for a tough time." We can only hope Everett fully heals.
