EXCLUSIVE: The Tennessee Vols Playbook
This is a first, I have gotten access and found a few of Bruce Pearl's most secretive plays. He used these a lot last night so they may be out, but still to have them on paper is a thing of beauty. Defense Uncontested Lay Up Play The Vols ran this play to perfection often last night. First the man guarding the ball has to get burnt. In fact sometimes you don't even need some one guarding ...

Tennessee's Disastrous Offense
Making the DanceSimon on Sports has a hilarous post on that abomination that Bruce Pearl calls an offense at Tennessee. Nice work Simon -- "uncontested threes are for pussies". Its amazing to me that Indiana wants to interview this guy. Well at least they will have plenty of time to now. I have mentioned before that I hated Tennessee wild, out of control offense. Well it was executed perfectly last night. Both teams were sloppy, but Tennessee was just plain uncomfortable to watch.

The Money Line Journal — ... I think most people assume that defense was the only thing holding them back last year, but that really wasn’t the case. The Louisville game is the perfect example of how ineffective their offense could be at times. Maybe they need to expand the playbook. Something has to improve. Either less easy baskets for the opposition or more for themselves. ...
