Zach Thomas Would Kill on NFL Jeopardy
Published 7/1/2008 by Ryan Wilson at FanHouse
Filed under: Cowboys, Ravens, NFL Fans I just figured ESPN.com's Mike Sando got a few head coaches on the horn, asked them some questions about why Rodney Harrison is such a dirty player, and then wrote up a nifty column about the findings. Turns out, the entire Hashmarks crew got in on the action, which is why I'm happy to announce that soulja boy aficionado Zach Thomas has been named the NFL's brainiest player! Unfortunately, there won't be any trips to the Playboy Mansion for the winner; instead, Thomas will be rocking a set of new encyclopedias. Nerd. The smartest defensive ...

Posted by ESPN.com's Matt Mosley I've just submitted my first manuscript for "The Life and Times of Tony Sparano: The Early Years," so I'm returning to "full-time" blogging status this afternoon. Please enjoy this installment of NFC East Hashlines: Cowboys As Jacques Taylor reports in the longest running weekly online newsletter in the NFL, Cowboys defensive coordinator Brian Stewart is doing something pretty cool for minority college and pro coaches. Stewart, who was previously with Wade Phillips in San Diego, has a passion for helping young coaches, and that's ...
Which New Player Will Have The Biggest Impact This Season?
Published 7/3/2008 by DaveTroll (noreply@blogger.com) at DaveTroll: Cowboys Fan 4 Life!
Of all the new additions to the Cowboys, two high caliber players came via trade or through free agency. Those were Zach Thomas and Adam Jones. The rest were rookies and some lesser known players from other teams. My question to everyone is, who will have the biggest impact on offense and defense this season? For offense, my pick would be Felix Jones. He might not be the "starter", but I believe he could be the threat to the outside that the Cowboys have needed. He is quick to get to the outside and he has good hands to catch the ball out of the backfield. I know it is easy to pick the number one pick in the draft, but he will be ...
