Batting Average has come a long way in 30 years. In the early 80's it was an aberration for catchers or second basemen to hit .300. Lately, it's an aberration for them not too. FBHOF.com has the story of batting averages of the Fantasy era and would you be surprised to learn that middle infielders hold the all time record for highest combined batting average?
