Mock This: Fantasy Writers Draft (For Reals)
Published 2/25/2008 by Derek Nelson at Comments on: Fantasy
... you can take these picks as freakin’ gospel. Tellingly, this caused Albert Pujols to drop to Edwin all the way at the 12th pick. The possibility of Tommy John surgery lingering in his future was enough to scare off owners and make them search for safer bets. I was one of those scared owners. Edwin couldn’t resist. I’d like to thank RotoAuthority , FakeTeams , Brock For Broglio , Crooked Pitch , Fantasy Baseball Mafia , Fantasy Gameday , Fantasy Hurler , Razzball , RotoRob , and Rotonomics for the fine ...

A Pujols Injury Debate
Published 2/26/2008 by Edwin Van Bibber-Orr at Comments on: Fantasy
... . I’ve been debating the merit of this selection with Fantasy Hurler ’s Mike Bock, and deemed the discourse relevant enough (or at least entertaining enough) to post here: Anonymous Edwin said… The Pujols pick was a no-brainer for me. While there might not be specific injury concerns with Fielder or Braun, there is moderate risk surrounding there performance. Pujols has probably the lowest performance risk out of any fantasy player ever. While I would say Pujols’s injury risk outweighs the performance risk of Fielder or Braun, I would only add a maximum of 25% failure risk. ...

Why so serious?
Published 13 days ago by Paul Singman at THT Fantasy Focus
... What bothers me the most though, is that a substantial amount of players cannot be acquired as they are left to rot on the roster of an owner that has quit. It is hard enough to find a team that is compatible with you for trading, and when your options are narrowed down it is just that more difficult. You would think, however, that an "experts" league would be followed religiously and fought to the death over. That was not the case with a league of bloggers that Bob Taylor of Fantasy Hurler was in, and he was ...
