... It turns out that league related thing was the announcement that he's going to be on the cover of Madden 09. I thought that was initially a brilliant idea by the guys at EA, sending the Madden cover curse to someone not playing anymore, but the guys at Deadspin wonder if the curse will transfer over to QB Aaron Rodgers. I don't think it will matter since Rodgers will get hurt anyway. It also gave Favre another opportunity to remind everyone that he still hasn't signed his retirement paperwork to keep rumors of his eventual return alive. ...
