chowell18 About freakin' time... I would love to see Favre now compete w/ Pennington for the starting QB position. -
oubobcat6 Couldn't be more thrilled that this national nightmare is over, but New York? Ugh, now the coverage will be endless. Tampa at least wouldn't have been such a never-ending circus, relatively speaking.
Because I'm such a cool person (read: gigantic loser), I had this stuff ready to go: GET YOUR UPDATED MADDEN COVERS!

We'll have actual Favre/Jets photos soon, but for now, that's the best you can get

Oddsboard The media circus will begin it's second wave. There will be constant coverage from training camp and throughout preseason, terrible. I don't even see a competition since Pennington has never been an NFL quarterback and has a weak arm. Favre will start and bring a little credibility to their offense but the Jets are still the Jets and will finish 8-8 at best. I don't want to hear about playoffs or any such talk since there are about eight teams that are in contention on paper for six playoff spots. Good luck Brett but this might have been a worse move than Joe Namath going to the Rams.

Glazer also points out that the Jets are likely to release a quarterback, and that the victim likely will be Chad Pennington. Per NFLPA records, Pennington has a base salary of $6 million in 2008.
