Browns fans to protest their next home game
read and react —
... Some fed-up Browns fans are organizing a”late arrival” to the team’s November 16th Monday Night Football game against the Baltimore Ravens. The letter below, by “Dawg Pound Mike,” urges fans to stay away from their seats until after kickoff, to make it clear to the team, the league, and the world, that they are “tired of this product on the field.”
While ESPN has caught hold of the story, it must be noted that many fans aren’t buying into it.

Browns’ Fans Planning Protest
Hard Knox Sports —
... Back when Jonathan Crompton was struggling for Tennessee, many local radio personalities criticized Tennessee fans for booing Crompton. College athletes don't deserve to get booed, but professional players are a whole different story. I have always supported the idea of boycotting a team if they refuse to produce a winning team. Cleveland Browns' fans agree with me as they plan on walking in late on Nov. 16 when the Browns play the Baltimore Ravens on Monday Night Football. Two fans came up with the idea as they want the empty stadium to send a message on a ...
The Dawg Pound is Protesting
BlitzNation —
... Let’s be honest, the Cleveland Browns organization had to see this coming sooner or later. And well, now Browns’ fans are taking a stand against their painfully bad football team. Mike Randall , or Dawg Pound Mike, is now urging Cleveland fans to stay away from their seats to start the Monday Night Football game in a few weeks. I guess this could go one of two ways. The site of empty seats will either cause an outrage among the organization, and force them to make some changes. Or, perhaps the site of empty seats will actually inspire the team to play better. Either way, ...

Dawg Pound Protest: Really, What's the Point?
Cleveland Frowns —
As many of you have no doubt heard, two of the Dawg Pound's most loyal denizens made the news yesterday by announcing a "Take Back Our Browns" protest, to take place on Monday, November 16 in the form of a late walk-in to Cleveland Browns Stadium for Monday Night Football against the Ravens. ...
The Six-Pack: Week 8
Gear Up For Sports —
... I don’t have any more words to spill on how bad this Browns franchise is. They really should be winless (thanks for the gift, Buffalo!) and barely have a pulse. Even the Dawg Pound has lost its bite. I saw a banner at last week’s game that said, “Rush, you can buy our team!” in brown and orange. That’s how depressed Browns fans are, they want a reactionary talk show host to take over the team. Meanwhile, Jay Cutler has thrown for the second-most interceptions in the league and is rewarded with a two-year extension. Overreact much, ...
Handicapper: NFL Week 8
Sports Pickle —
1:00 p.m. ET Houston at Buffalo (+3) Steve Slaton needs to stop fumbling if the Texans are going to have a shot at the playoffs. And if he fumbles in this game, expect Terrell Owens to run off the sidelines and pick it up. He has very few chances to touch the ball. My pick: Houston Cleveland at Chicago (-13) Angry Browns fans are organizing a protest . Waste of time. What they should do is organize a football team. And then beat the Browns. My pick: Cleveland Seattle at Dallas (-9.5) If the Seahawks are going to have a chance in this game, they must stop Miles Austin. I can't ...

Enough! Fed-up Browns fans planning protest
So look, I understand that the Browns are horrible. However, these team protests never work. Also, Browns fans should just shut up and be happy that they have a team at all. If I were the owner and you pulled a protest I would move the team to Baltimore just to spite you. ...
