comebackrich I am amazed at you so called faithful Meeechigan fans. Why do you think Rich rod was going to win in his first year with out of shape, mid level players Coach Lloyd left remaining? I will guarantee you give him 4 years and you will be playing or in the hunt for a National Championship every year! He has his stubborn ways but he has won everywhere he has been. Why should he not win? All you have to do is beat an overrated OS Buckeyes team since they are the only competition in the Big 10. I wish you would run him out of town, WVU fans would love to have him back. Mark your calendar for the National Championship game in 2011. in the end you will be kissing his ass! -
kmachefski I'm a diehard Michigan fan and with my eyes wide open prior to this season I new that this would not be a typical year for Michigan football. Show some patencies and give the new coaching staff and players the time they need to adjust.
Within one to two years they will be back vying for not only a Big Ten title but the BCS Championish (wich they will win unlike "THE OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY").
Rich Rod rocks and this is just the tip of the ice berg.
GO BLUE!!!

rrodsucks rrod needs to be fired asap. How do you take the winningest
team to this and expect to keep your job? WV was not that good of a team when he started there they needed to rebuild, michigan did not need to rebuilt before he got here. That is what they get for hiring a non michigan guy I guess.

dohbytoo As a Michigan fan, I agree with some that say RichRod is an arrogant ass. As far as Coach Lloyd leaving the cupboard bare, it might be noted our new coach chased off the heir apparent QB. He not only doesn't appear to know what he is doing, but rather than take a look at what he had, he chose to try his WV offense, knowing he did not have the players to run it. Effectively saying, screw you, players, fans and anyone else. I will run my team into the ground, no matter what. A true butt wipe, if I ever saw one. Pryor saw the hand writing on the wall, and went with OSU, that has a proven coach, not some maybe coach.

How many hints does Dr. Gross need?
The Orange Squeeze —
... Dr. Gross needs more than a firing of another coach in mid season in order to get going on his own mission, here is another small tid bit that could help him towards handing Greg Robinson his pink slip. A head coach like Tommy Bowden, who had a winning record of 72-45 (.615) compared to Robinson's 8-33 (195), had to be an awakening on the hill, but how about the newest site calling for a head coach's job? I present to all of you, and of course to Dr. Gross, Fire Rich Rodriguez (aka fireRRod.com). ...

... After just six games for Rich Rodriguez at the helm of Michigan, fans are calling for his head. The first sign that fans are unhappy with their coach is the fire______.com. Well, now we have Firerod.com. It’s even got a countdown clock until Les Miles’ contract at LSU expires. I guess a 2-4 start with a loss to Toldeo is just too much for people to stand. Call me crazy, but that seems a tad bit quick on the trigger finger. Last I checked, the Wolverines lost Appalachian St. in the Big House last year and Rich-Rod runs a spread option that he ...

Seventh Day Adventure: Numbers Check
Football Outsiders —
... it probably shows a little respect for the Michigan name and probably should be higher. Michigan is coming off a 10-point offensive outburst in a loss to mighty Toledo, which isn't even a mediocre MAC team. Penn State, meanwhile, is crushing everything in its path. This may be Joe Paterno's finest team since his 1994 squad finished undefeated with a Rose Bowl win over Oregon, the Lions' last visit to Pasadena. Sharp: Rich Rodriguez should be wary of Billy Gillispie's situation
The Diag —
... But another three- or four-win season and, suddenly, you'll hear complaints about how Rodriguez blamed his players for the poor performance, not his system. That's what happened with Gillispie. You'll hear that Rodriguez was a reluctant schmoozer with fanatical alumni. That's what happened with Gillispie. You'll hear that Rodriguez was never fully compatible with the old diehards who perceive their precious program a certain way and don't want change. Of course if these guys had their way , Rodriguez would already be gone.
