Shaun Alexander, who rushed for over 1,800 yards two years ago and was featured on the cover of Madden, has been cut by the Seattle Seahawks . Alexander, who is signed through the 2010, is scheduled to make $4.475 million this season. The Seahawks have two possible ways of releasing him. They could simply terminate his contract. If they do that, they would have a cap loss of $125,000. ...Madden Curse continues as Shaun Alexander cut by Seahawks

Brett Favre has been named the cover boy for EA’s Madden 09 , the trademark NFL video game. This really isn’t a shock, as John Madden is kind of in love with him(creepy), and it’s the twentieth edition. Anyhow, this actually does deal with regular football. If you believe in the Madden Curse, you might want to stay away from Brett Favre for about a year or so . I think this pretty much Guarantees an unhappy retirement. There are a few things that could happen here: A. Retired players don't really get injured so this just effectively ends the curse B.
