Fox Sports’ Ken Rosenthal is reporting that veteran pitcher Joe Kennedy, most recently with Toronto, passed away Friday morning in Florida.
An earlier cached version of the Fox headline claims the cause of death was a brain aneurysm.
Kennedy compiled a 43-61 record over 7 seasons with Tampa Bay, Colorado, Oakland, Arizona and the Blue Jays. Sporting a career ERA of 4.52, Kennedy’s best full season came with the Rockies in 2004, in which in won 9 games and finished with a career low 3.66 ERA in more than 162 innings pitched.
