An earlier cached version of the Fox headline claims the cause of death was a brain aneurysm. Kennedy compiled a 43-61 record over 7 seasons with Tampa Bay, Colorado, Oakland, Arizona and the Blue Jays. Sporting a career ERA of 4.52, Kennedy’s best full season came with the Rockies in 2004, in which in won 9 games and finished with a career low 3.66 ERA in more than 162 innings pitched.
