Mariners left-hander Erik Bedard, sidelined since July 4 with tightness in his left shoulder, had an MRI exam on Tuesday afternoon to determine if there's anything structurally wrong. The results of the MRI weren't available Tuesday night.

Mediocre headcase (who happens to be leading the AL in strikeouts) that is always hurt (yet is 7th in the AL in innings pitched this season and has started 5 times in 19 days) AJ Burnett was delivered another cosmic screwjob. He looked great, striking out the side in the bottom of 5 looked strong after six innings.
