McCain's VP was choice was, admittedly, somewhat odd. Seeing as I oftentimes forget Alaska is a state, and so do most Americans, Palin isn't exactly well known.
But we're learning more and more about her each day.
Today's nugget of info about the former Miss Alaska runner-up (I'm not really sure that's as impressive as it sounds) is that she used to do sportscasting for KTUU-TV up in Anchorage, Alaska in 1988 when she was 24-years-old. And above is the proof.
She totally nailed those Iditarod highlights by the way.

If you were you wondering if Sarah Palin's past included things other than killing a large elk or marrying the guy who dominates the Iron Dog, a nearly-2,000 mile snowmobile race through the Alaskan wilderness, wonder no longer. Because yes, there's more to her: she was once a sports broadcaster for KTUU-TV in Anchorage.
Having lived in Alaska for a couple years, I can vouch: leading the sports cast with dog sledding news is the norm.

Reader Patrick provided this to us and gave us the possibility of being ahead of the curve but hey, we're not newsbreakers here. Now, I don't know how everyone is so certain this is her, but there's also speculation on it being "definitely the 10 o'clock news."
