While FSU's initial inquiries did not implicate the football team, it is now clear that many players who took that one class were involved as well.
I have heard (from people with solid connections to FSU) that twelve or more football players have been implicated, that many of them are starters, and that they will be suspended for four games.
For the sake of completeness, however, ESPN is reporting that it may be twenty or more players.

They will be suspended as part of an improper academic scandal regarding an internet correspondence class. The suspensions will most likely carry into next season with the minimum being three games and the maximum being a lost of eligibility.
