The Miami Dolphins Select OT George Karl with the 1st Pick in the 2008 NFL Draft
FanIQ Blog —
... George Karl, now here's a guy who does a great job of keeping guys in front of him. Good bend of the knees, and keeps his pad level low enough. Possibly a little too old for the 1st overall pick, but he'd be the best offensive lineman on the team right now. It's a reach, but you have to like the intensity level. Overall, An excellent left-tackle prospect with fair athletic ability and solid technique that will make him a great blindside protector in the NFL.

YouTube of the Day: George Karl's odd pre-game ritual
Ball Don't Lie —
... TNT re-airing Deron Williams' 5th-grade yearbook page. I laugh every time I think of Jeff Van Gundy noticing D-Will's classmate, Stephen Wright, who had a blank space next to his bio's "FUTURE" line, and saying, "but what about Stephen Wright? He has no future!" 3. George Karl and his coaching staff's hilarious pre-game ritual. Observe: (Hat-tip, Odenized.)

laballtalk.com 4/21/2008 — This game was quite exciting in the 1st half as the momentum shifted back and forth. The Lakers came out big early, took a ten point lead, and things were looking good, up until the last few minutes of the 1st quarter. As the 2nd quarter opened, the Lakers had a four point lead and soon were in a deep hole. The Denver Nuggets continued to push the tempo of the game...
Crucifido's Corner: Lakers vs. Nuggets (Round 1 / Game 1 4/20/08)
clublakers.com 4/21/2008 — I have a love/hate relationship with the playoffs. I love that it’s the pathway to the Finals, that the best teams in the league are competing and that every game means something. But I hate the tension, the nervousness, and the worry over little problems maybe becoming big ones and leading to a key loss. When all is said and done though, when the Lakers play with the poise, professionalism ...
Lakers Fans Treat Carmelo Anthony To "DUI" Chants
sportsbybrooks.com 4/21/2008 — Carmelo Anthony was treated to chants of "D-U-I" by the Lakers faithful during Sunday's Game 1. Well, that seems a bit extreme - much like Melo's intoxication levels when he was pulled over last week. Wonder if Nuggets fans will retaliate by chanting at Kobe during Game 3. Something about his sexcapades in Vail, perhaps?
