... Both Brian Sabean and Bruce Bochy received two-year contract extensions today (Tuesday). They improved the team over last season, but they also had a chance to win the wild card and failed to gather the extra pieces needed to push the team over the top. I thought the deadline trades were good deals, but they turned out to be less than adequate. Still, as measured in wins and losses the two did a better job than last season, and now they will be expected to go to the next level in 2010. I’m interested to see how many veterans Sabean jettisons this off season. ...
