With the 31st pick in the 2008 NFL draft, the Giants selected Kenny Phillips, the safety out of the University of Miami. Defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo loves his potential and sees him as a Brian Dawkins type - a pretty significant player from his days as an assistant in Philly. [link]
