The Phillies have been the noisiest team thus far in the offseason, unless you count all of the meaningless banter in the media about Alex Rodriguez, the New York Yankees, and everyone else in between. If you’re a Phillies fan, you have to be happy with the way Gillick has attacked the pressing needs facing the 2008 team. [link]

Mike Lowell has apparently been offer 4 year contracts by four teams. This list probably included the Yankees and Phillies. The yankees aparently would want him to play 1st base as they also persue A-Rod at this time. The Red Sox have maintained a 3 year contract offer. Keep checking back as the story develops.
