God Loves The Buckeyes! (Or at least has a crush on them)

I was going to save this short piece for until I unveiled the winners of the "Top 10 College Football Rivalries," which will be released on Sunday, but I couldn't wait.

There was a question I wanted to ask all the Michigan fans I ran into at the Dallas-Fort Worth Airport during the Florida-Michigan game back in January. So to all the Wolverines out there: How do you like these apples?

In a shocking press release from a few days ago, and reported on ESPN.com, the Ohio State Buckeyes announced on Wednesday that offensive lineman Justin Boren will become a Buckeye next season, leaving the program full of "loyal" Michigan Wolverines.

It was cited that Boren transferred due to Rich Rodriguez's lack of "family values." I am not a rocket scientist, but this was by far the biggest shocker since Pacman announcing that he will run for President in 2012.

In a move that will not only rock the foundation of this great rivalry but tip it on its side, Boren has decided to join the enemy. You know it's bad news when the Wolverines lose a fan to the other side, but a player?

That's just unheard of. Impossible. A sin, even.

But it is true, Ann Arbor. One of your own has decided that he'd rather play in a Horseshoe than The Big House. Now if this isn't a sign that God is at least a partial Buckeyes fan, I don't know what will convince you otherwise.

In any event, this move has catapulted the Ohio State-Michigan rivalry to the top of the Top 10 list. Until further notice, it's become clear that there will be more hatred, more intensity, and above all else, more barfights come 2009.

I say 2009 because the NCAA is a couple of idiots who obviously take their ruling tips from Matt Walsh and Roger Goodell Castro.

Enjoy this moment, Ohio State. Because even before the season officially starts, you have already beaten the Wolverines in at least one category.

So Michigan: God Loves the Buckeyes!
