... Oh, and Tony Romo, too. ...
Money isn't all that matters to Romo
Sports Scope —
As an undrafted free agent coming out of Eastern Illinois, Tony Romo had options as to where he could take his football career. Denver head coach Mike Shanahan (also a graduate of Eastern Illinois) offered Romo a signing bonus of $20,000 to come to camp with the Broncos. The Cowboys also had their eye on the quarterback, but offered only $10,000, half of what Denver put on the table. And still, Romo chose the Cowboys. And Shanahan had to find out why: " I asked Tony not too long ago, " Shanahan said. " I said,

the team there than I did at your place.' So he's a politician as well. "

They've got a young gun at QB who can make every throw in the book, even if he's a little over anxious sometimes. They've got several running backs that will make things tough on defenses. And they've got a pretty good defense to boot. So, why can't I pick this team to go any further than they did last year? Wade Phillips.
