... and two hits as a Cub, the jury is still out on whether or not signing Jim Edmonds was a good move. All Cubs fans seemed to hate it when it went down, but based on the league minimum salary they re paying him and unbelievable, old-school Edmonds catches like this, maybe things will be alright: Although with the Cubs tied for most wins in baseball, and having won eight of their last 10 games, it would probably be difficult for Chicago fans to find much to complain about. Short and sweet on the Cubs today. Maybe they won't do something worth writing about soon so it won't be so unbearable for you, our beloved reader. But an inside-the-park home run by catcher Geovany Soto ( future Rookie of the Year , I say) and a great, over-the-shoulder catch by Jim Edmonds? It's all too much.
