With all the hype that lacrosse has been getting, from the big news that the Big East Conference will be making a lacrosse conference starting in 2010, to the AxeMan promising a piece on why Syracuse should have a professional team, I figured that I do my part and keep an eye on the players from Syracuse that are now Major League Lacrosse.

If you weren't there this weekend, you missed out on a great community-wide celebration in Syracuse this weekend (of course if you traveled though time like me, you wouldn't have had this problem). At the Taste of Syracuse on Saturday, DOCTOR Daryl Gross was honored for his NCAA Lacrosse National Championship. Apparently the men's lacrosse team joined DOCTOR Gross on stage which is cute.

Lacrosse fans want to see the NLL and MLL grow and gain popularity around North America. But we probably don't want it to get too big, you know? We certainly don't want there to come a time when a young player, such as incoming Syracuse recruit Cody Jamieson, would consider going directly to the pros instead of playing college ball.
