Game reaction: Warriors 111, Blazers 106
Blazers Blog —
A pretty, uh, full game last night. Greg Oden records his second-career double-double (20 points, 10 boards in 30 minutes) in impressive fashion . The Blazers total 21 turnovers. Corey Maggette, who has earned a living banging in traffic and going to the line, flopped like he was getting a bonus check each time he hit the floor. The Blazers bench badly outscored the Warriors 60-39. The Blazers shot more (22 to 15), and made more (12 to 6), 3 pointers than the Warriors. Brandon Roy dished out 9 assists, with at least 6 going to either Oden or Joel Przybilla on the block, to go ...

Read Henry's post first.
I just emailed in the following response and then realized, "Dude, what are you doing, you should just post it on BlazersEdge." I guess messing with Adobe Premier into the wee hours has me thrown off my game this morning.

Blogfather,
On draft night, a wise man, when asked whether Oden might be a flight risk out of Portland after his rookie deal, told me, "Out of here with your pessimism! It's party time! This is as good as it gets for Portland fans of the last decade." ...

Game Preview #12 - Chicago Bulls at Portland Trail Blazers
Blog a Bull —
... On the national broadcast, the focus will probably be on the last two number one draft picks. It should be an interesting battle to watch, because Oden has managed to stay healthy for four games in a row and is playing well. He had 22 points and 10 boards last night, and caused Blazer fans to salivate ...
Today's poll: Has Greg Oden arrived?
Blazers Blog —
I'm sure most of you have already read through True Hooper Henry Abbott's post today on Greg Oden, yet-to-arrive. Oden had his best game (22 points and 10 rebounds) in his most extensive minutes (30) of the young season. Six days after a fairly listless (as far as numbers were concerned) 3 point, 2 rebound performance in his anticipated return against Miami, Oden had a coming-out party against the Warriors. In the past three games, ...
Aldridge in Decline. Oden at Fault?
Blaze of Love —
... From a game perspective, with Oden in the game, the team is obviously looking more in his direction. They are trying to work him into a groove by continuously feeding him the ball. I think it was Truehoop today that commented on how exciting it was to watch Oden and Roy work the pick and roll during the final minutes of last night’s game and I agree, but is it wise to push away your second best player? ...

The Bulls of Chicago visit The Trailblazers of Portland
Oden put up 22 and 10 (with 5 turnovers) on the Dubs last night. Abbott is not amused. Shoals dubbed it Oden's "coming-out party". But a night after facing a frontline of...well, Biedrins, Biedrins, and Biedrins, Oden's given another interesting matchup against Drew Gooden and Joakim Noah. A far cry from the initial tough stretch of schedule that Oden conveniently missed against Shaq, Al Jefferson, Jesus, Stonewall Jackson's reanimated corpse, Dwight Howard, Tim Duncan, etc. ...

The Big Lead —
... We’ll be tuning in for at least the first half of Greg Oden against Joakim Noah, Ty Thomas and the Bulls tonight. Not sure Oden’s creaky knees can handle a big night after Tuesday’s 22-10 effort, so expectations are low. Taking a peek at the NBA standings three weeks into the season, four teams clearly stand out: ...

Every Play Counts: Greg Oden by Kevin Pelton
Basketball Prospectus —
... following his return from a mid-foot sprain that sidelined him for the season's first two weeks. Oden's desire to live up to the hype and not let his teammates and Blazers fans down has apparently taken a psychological toll. I think that explains why Blazers fans were taken aback when one of their own, True Hoop's Henry Abbott, noted in the wake of Oden's first sustained successful stretch that his poor plus-minus numbers were evidence he was still holding the team back in the short term. Abbott's comment wasn't inaccurate, but it felt unfair in the light of all the ...
