BUFFALO - Bill Guerin may be 38 years old, but after
reaching the 400-goal mark with a two-goal performance in the Islanders' 4-1 win over Toronto on Friday night, retirement is the furthest thing from his mind. The Isles' captain had a team-high 13 goals entering last night's game against Buffalo, and he's hoping to sign as a free agent this summer if the Islanders don't extend him first.

He’s on the injured list at the moment, which would prevent an impending deal. But he and Guerin are sure to be the subject of speculation before the March 4 trade deadline.
