Gus Johnson, Dancin' Queen

Via the indispensible Odenized, Gus Johnson does his best falsetto impersonation of everyone's favorite Swedish pop/dance quartet. ...

Behind the boxscore, where George Karl pulled one out
Published 4/2/2008 at Ball Don't Lie
... with all the great games that were on tonight, I didn't see much of this one. Comment away down below, but I'm with Dr. Parver on this one. Jamal Crawford, for the fifth time in six years, appears to be playing quite well in April for a lottery team. Also, anyone who doesn't see their eyes mist over every time "Dancing Queen" comes on, and the band hits that F#m7 chord in the chorus, just isn't living right. That's not a joke. Gus Johnson? Keep on. Detroit 94, Minnesota 90 The ...

I Love You Gus, But Never Sing On Air Again

I don't know if Gus Johnson didn't think the cameras were rolling during pregame of the Knicks game last night or what, but we were treated to an impromptu concert by Gus Johnson. Cue the music! I understand that when ABBA comes on you just have to sing, but normally you just lip sync it my friend. The look on Walt Frazier's face is just priceless. Gus Johnson Dancing Queen Diva (Odenized)

Dancing Queen: Only Gus Johnson Can Make This Acceptable
Published 4/2/2008 at FanIQ Blog
After you get to call a weekend of Stephen Curry, I can imagine it making you quite giddy and spontaneously breaking into song. However, transferring that energy into a rendition of Dancing Queen is unacceptable ... unless you're Gus Johnson. Clyde Frazier's look says it all, doesn't it. We'll let this one slide, Gus, but let us catch you like this again. [Odenized]

GUS JOHNSON IS YOUNG AND SWEET, ONLY 17

... And it's obvious that as the quality of the games go, so too does the level of Gus's work.  Exciting tourney games give you Johnson yelling himself hoarse; two atrocious NBA teams will get you ABBA's "Dancing Queen." I'll tell you this much: he's nowhere as good as I am.  In a poll I conducted in my bedroom, 100% of stuffed animals agree: I'm way better at singing ABBA tunes.  Though it's possible they're just sold on my white catsuit.  [Odenized

Gus Johnson Loves Him Some ABBA
Published 4/2/2008 by Brett Edwards at FanHouse
... It's always great to see anyone who thinks they're not on the air get embarrassed when they do something silly like this, and Gus Johnson seemed to get as good of a laugh about it as we all did. Clyde Frazier's reaction is priceless, but there is one thing about this clip that I don't understand. Someone was actually watching the Bucks play the Knicks? Apparently so. ...
