Baseball is a long season, and theoretically the numbers even out after a full schedule -- so patience is the game. Going back a few weeks, it's true -- the owner's speaking out may have -- may have -- nominally helped Mikek Mussina to wake up -- but it's less likely that "lighting a fire" under the team will help batters hit a 95-mph fastball.
