HC Williams is a Tar Heel not a Jayhawk
I have to say that as I watched the last game of the weekend, between #1 Kansas and #10 Davidson, I had so many mixed emotions on who should win. David vs Goliath always comes to mind, doesn`t it? [link]

A "Ray of Hope", a Tar Heel always to remember

I know I am a couple of days late in writing this blog, mainly because while I know the date by heart, March 23rd, I did not have the strength/power to write it out because it is painful.

#1 UNC vs #3 Louisville: Game Thread

For the record UNC has already knocked Louisville out of the NCAA Tournament today. The Tar Heel women rallied to knock of the Cardinals in women’s Sweet Sixteen. We can only hope that is a sign of things to come with the Tar Heels doing the same to the men’s team in the regional final. Comments when I have them, feel free to do the same. GO HEELS!

UNC's Final Four Cold Streak Looks Familiar: Remember 1995 Against Arkansas?
Kansas went on an 18-0 run on North Carolina in the first half of their Final Four game. The Tar Heels went nine minutes between baskets. For North Carolina fans, this looks very familiar. Above is video of UNC's Final Four meeting with Arkansas back in 1995. That Tar Heel team was led by Rasheed Wallace and Jerry Stackhouse; Arkansas was the defending champion. UNC went on a stretch ...
Tar Heel Behind Jayhawk Lines: Five Questions With an Enemy Blogger
It is D-Day for the Final Four. All four of the #1 seeds in the NCAA Tournament have survived ... but two will fall today. The second game this evening pits Kansas and North Carolina in what is now known as the "Ol' Roy Game". I have been a Tar Heel fan my entire life and know what to expect from UNC. To get prepped up for the game, I decided to chat up with the Rock Chalk Talk blog about ...
Quentin Thomas headed to second Final Four
For most UNC players the emotion of going to the Final Four is something they have never felt before. They came close to it last year, but then the collapse against Georgetown took it away from them. But for one player, the winningest Tar Heel ever, this is not the first time he has gone to a Final Four. I am talking about Quentin Thomas, and the other time he went to the Final Four the Tar ...
Rock Chalk Jayhawk (Bruin, Tiger, and Tar Heel Too)
Maybe having all #1 seeds play in the Final Four for the first time ever will ensure us some close, interesting games — because watching three of the four teams whoop up on their opponents in Elite Eight games isn’t the most scintillating viewing. UCLA was expected to win the West easily — playing a series of what could have been considered home games in Anaheim — ...
Shooting Your Way To A National Title
A historical glimpse at UNC’s shooting in previous Final Fours If any of you are like me there is a chance that at some point this week you will wake up with a cold sweat in the dead of night having had a nightmare similar to this: UNC is in the Final Four but because this is a dream and you ate ice cream at 10 PM it is an odd Final Four. The Tar Heel team has a bunch of ...
Kansas 84 UNC 66
Well, that did not go well. This basically boiled down to Kansas playing exceptional defense and offense for the first 15 minutes of the game and during the same stretch UNC played about as bad as they could possibly play. As much as I am a firm believer in this Tar Heel team to do incredible things when back against a wall, dealing with a 28 point deficit against a fellow #1 seed is ...
Ex Tar Heels in the Pros...
I wanted to keep an eye on each and every North Carolina player throughout the season, but as good plans always go, this one too did not work out. So, since the beginning of the National Basketball Association playoffs are quickly approaching I am going to try and keep up with all the Tar Heel players that will be in the NBA post season. As of now the Detroit Pistons have clinched the ...
Who are You and What Have You Done to the Real Deon Thompson?
As the Tar Heels head into their Sweet 16 game against Washington State, the minds of the Tar Heel faithful have been eased thanks to two blowout victories, including a game against the talented Arkansas Razorbacks that was over by halftime. While the Heels were 32-2 entering this tournament, the majority of those victories have been closer, uglier conference games, and these convincing wins ...
Shock and Awe-kansas
I promise you that will be the worst pun I ever put in a headline. Until I think of the next one. There's not much to say about the game - Tar Heel Fan's picture pretty much tells the whole story. When the biggest news coming out of the game were the sticker-slipping montage - (Don't say I didn't warn you, NCAA) and the fact that UNC got their 15th and final player in the scoring column for ...
