Redsauce I'm guessing they'll be silence on this issue from the dugout. But I'm waiting for the moment when this happens to Giambi & Jeter defends him for it. -
John Brattain Still, it's still a slimy bit of work on A-Rod's part. It's been going on for a long time among ahtletes but you've gotta feel bad for the missus.
Stay home to raise their daughter and having to read that your life-partner is screwing around with some blond bimbo?
That has to feel pretty lousy. Pity the daughter when she reaches school age.
Newsworthy? Hardly. The front page of a newspaper in one of the world's largest metropolitan centers should be for earth-shaking events--not some spoiled rich brat who promised to love honour and cherish while diddling around with every good looking woman who throws herself in his direction.
If they divorce, I hope he she gets half and hefty child support payments and then A-Rod can return to the life of the single-guy.
The man's gotta grow up. It's a lousy way to teach your daughter how she can expect to be treated my men in any relationships she gets involved in down the road.
Best Regards
John

... The Yankees aren't acting like a bunch of highly paid professional ballplayers. They had a pre-game team meeting on Monday to try and stem their slide to the cellar and responded by getting pasted 7-2. On Tuesday they tried to revert back to Spring Training with some afternoon infield practice which worked so well that both Alex Rodriguez and Derek Jeter made throwing errors and A-Rod fielded a bunt that would have gone foul to advance the winning runner. In a 3-2 loss that kind of mental lapse is unforgivable (perhaps A-Rod's mind was on the busty blonde the Post snapped him heading up to his hotel room with on Sunday night) as is the one that allowed Aaron Hill to steal home in the seventh.

... A-Rod, predictably, had no comment on the New York Post cover story, which details how he went to a strip club with the woman and then hopped in the elevator to his hotel room with her, alone. (No!) We can't say we envy Post reporter Dan Mangan's assignment of following A-Rod around all evening -- most nights probably involve him watching Chris Farley movies, we suspect -- but we think it's rather fitting that, finally, the world of sports has fully given itself up to the paparazzi. We still think someone's gonna figure out a way to blame this on blogs anyway.

... I normally wouldn't talk about nonsense like this, but I guess it's going to be a story, so let's get it out of the way. The New York Post has this : I guess I'd be interested to see the photos (not just the one on the cover - who hasn't walked behind a woman into an elevator?!), not that they would mean a lot necessarily, but really, when it comes to stuff like this - everyone needs to check themselves. With stories like these, I always issue caution. No one should jump to believe this. No one should be passing it along as some sort of absolute truth. Maybe if you're a fan of gossip, this is your cup of tea. But, gossip is gossip - it's not fact. The two can align sometimes, but they aren't mutually exclusive. The first reaction to something like this should be suspicion. This is a serious thing that impacts people's lives and it should be treated as such. It shou

From the reaction in New York, it seems the Blue Jays weren't the only ones who were pissed off about it.
