He said what? You'll hear it

Called It
Thank You Isiah — Sorta. It's Sam Smith's not tuff enuff thought that counts. Shouldn't "Skiles is too nice" translate into the Bulls having more fun? Big shocker alert: Skiles is not the wacky authoritarian as seen on blogger. Be sure to tune in to TNT next Thursday to hear what Skiles says during the game, and gain absolutely no insight on the matter.

Can You Hear Me Now?
Fan Voice: Recent Topics in The Court Reporters: The NBA.com Blog — ... . Chicago's famously crusty coach commented upon learning the news we (the NBA, not me personally) will be miking players and coaches , doing in-game interviews with coaches and looking in on pre-game, halftime and post-game pep talks for nationally televised games: "The thing I think is most concerning from a coach's standpoint is that when the boom mike is over the huddle," he said. "You'll get a coach who says one thing, and they'll take a snippet and it's played on TV. Then every fan thinks they can coach. Because they say, 'Well I knew that.' So, to me, it can leave the ...

that'll be the day
Geek Thoughts — Greag Popovich has to love that the Spurs beat the Mavs tonight without Tim Duncan. He has to be fuming at this news though. The NBA is going to require all coaches to be mic'ed up during games and give on-bench interviews during the game anytime they are on national TV. Popovich has always kept himself and his team just at the league minimum for media exposure. As few interviews as possible, as few reporters at practice as possible, etc. He is always terse and sometimes rude to reporters trying to get in a quick half-time interview with him in the hall. My guess is ...

chicagosportsreview.com 11/30/2007 — Let me take you back, Bulls fans. Take you back a few years and a million lifetimes ago, before I ever had any foolish dreams about wanting to be a writer. Since that fateful ...
