The idea that a candidate for a high-level Division 1-A head coaching gig should be from the same level is one that is extremely outdated. Jim Tressel and Pete Carroll are fantastic examples of this. However, for Nebraska, a special kind of coach is needed, so not only have I thought outside the box, I smashed it, lit it on fire and roasted S’mores over it. [link]
