As mentioned Monday, Wizards guard Gilbert Arenas decided to show his support for President-elect Barack Obama by getting a little ink. Well, thanks to NBC Washington's Dan Hellie (via Gilbertology), we now have photographic evidence. Here it is in all of its up-close, sharp fingernail glory. Not bad, not bad, though Gil really should've started on his pinky and his worked his way in. That mole on his index finger makes a perfect period.

As we documented, a lot of athletes are riding Obama’s wave, and again, social change will do that. Washington guard Gilbert Arenas joined in the celebration, but his was done with permanent ink. Arenas indicated he got some fresh ink to celebrate Obama’s election, but now we have a picture, courtesy of NBC Washington (and a bunch of blogs).
