Before I get into AtA, a speedy and healthy recovery to former National RHP Shawn Hill who underwent Tommy John surgery this week , the second of his career. I’ve mentioned it before, Shawn is a good guy and I wish him nothing but the best. Syracuse RHPs Marco Estrada and Jorge Sosa held Pawtucket to just one baserunner over the first 8 2/3 innings (27 batters) in a 12-0 throttling of the Red Sox ( box / gamer ). Estrada allowed one hit and struck out seven over 7IP and Sosa finished it off giving up two hits and striking out wo in two innings of relief.
