Beijing 2008 Olympic Venues Constructed With Lego
FanIQ Blog — ... most impressive, but the detail on every section shows that a lot of time was spent on this. Spent, not wasted - Lego is never a waste of time. Sure, they took some creative license. At the same time, it's doubtful that anyone who constructed these venues was worked to death, so that's a bonus.     [HKLUG via Brothers Brick via Gizmodo]

LEGO My Mini Sports Village
And One — ... LEGOs once or twice. Squares and rectangles in my hands, I made larger squares and rectangles. Brightly colored, yet sorely lacking in creativity. Constructing a miniature LEGO Beijing Olympics, including the athlete's village and Bird's Nest? Ridiculous. Not possible. Additional geometric configurations would be required. And yet - HKLUG recently posted photos of such a feat. Can it be? Is it possible to create art using LEGOs? The proof is in the photos (click on image to enlarge): Nest Sports Ground ...
