Rumor: Are the Blackhawks, Senators about to make worst trade in Kings' history? Eh, probably not
Published 7/16/2008 by Greg Wyshynski at Puck Daddy
... Don Brennan of the Ottawa Sun clearly has Bruce "Malkin to the Kings!" Garrioch envy, and presents a rather intricate trade "rumor" today: ...
Don't Be Stupid

... . The Ottawa Sun is reporting something is brewing, but, honestly, I can't believe people are considering this. In a three-way trade the Chicago Blackhawks would send G Nikolai Khabibulin and D Cam Barker/D Brent Seabrook to the Senators, the Sens would send G Martin Gerber and D Andrej Meszaros to the Kings, and the Kings would send Kopi to Chicago. WHAT?!?! This would be a mistake of gigantic proportions. How do those two guys equal Kopi? How does that equate to being a positive for the Kings? Why would Lombardi trade away our top line ...
The Kings Don't Want Your Detritus, Part II

You know that stupid rumor Dubcek covered yesterday? The one reported on Hockeybuzz, that was completely retarded and obviously made up? Apparently, the Ottawa Sun think it's good enough to go with. The trade? ...
Win-win-whaa?
Published 7/16/2008 by The Universal Cynic (noreply@blogger.com) at The Universal Cynic
From today's Sun: According to insiders, Ottawa would trade netminder Martin Gerber and defenceman Andrej Meszaros to Los Angeles, the Kings would move 20-year-old centre Anze Kopitar to Chicago and the Blackhawks would propel goalie Nikolai Khabibulin and either of young blueliners Brent Seabrook or Cam Barker to the Senators. On the surface, it seems the deal could be a rare win-win-win. I know the mindset's a bit different in SoCal, but I've got to think there's no way in hell L.A. is giving up Kopitar, especially for that tandem. Kopitar is part of the young core that the Kings want to build around. ...
On the Media and Ray Emery
Published 7/16/2008 by Sherry (noreply@blogger.com) at Scarlett Ice
AKA..."Hopefully the Last Post I Will Ever Write About Ray Emery" and this is a long one so please be patient. There are just some things I feel I needed to get off my chest. Image From the Ottawa Citizen DHS has already posted his reaction to the Ray Emery "Off the Record" interview, and even though I'm a couple of days late on it, I thought I'd do the same. While the consensus seems to be that it was a good thing he didn't blame the Senators for what happened this year, it almost seems like every time he took responsibility for his actions, he shrugged it off as just "Ray being Ray". ...
SHERRY SMASH!: Your Cup o' Rant of the Day
Published 7/16/2008 by Sherry (noreply@blogger.com) at hlog {Hockey's Ladies of Greatness}
The Cover of "Rant" by Chuck Palahniuk Ray Emery and I do have something in common in that we're both bound for Europe soon and we'll experience first-hand the lack of hockey coverage and hockey love that Europe has to offer. Unlike Ray though, I'll definitely miss it. I know the mainstream media has a prickly relationship with us humble bloggers (yet somehow "journalists" maintaining a blog is a-okay and totally different). As critical as I am about the media, we're inevitably dependent on them to do what us bloggers do. At least blogs with a certain standard do, and I'd like to think ...
Most Canadians Don't Know Shit about Hockey. No, you don't.

... for this politically incorrect rant: RudyKelly over at The Battle Of California wrote this today: "You know that stupid rumor Dubcek covered yesterday? The one reported on Hockeybuzz, that was completely retarded and obviously made up? Apparently, the Ottawa Sun think it's good enough to go with. The trade? Chicago gets: Anze Kopitar Ottawa gets: Nikolai Khabibulin, Brent Seabrook/Cam Barker LA gets: Andrej Meszaros, Martin Gerber" .... He's (Kopitar) 21 years-old and he's probably the best young player in the NHL outside of the Big 3 and he's worth a shitty goalie and a ...
