 Holding pattern Links3
I'm still in wait-and-be-pissed mode with this team. Nothing inspiring coming from that game against the Knicks, except perhaps some giggling at Eddy Curry's expense. (His contract is uninsured, you nits, nobody's trading for it.) So not much for news, the Bulls are doing just enough to preserve Skiles' job, yet not nearly enough to give the fanbase (unless you're really reaching) any ... [link]

Wrong Scrub Whose Last Name Begins With "Gr"

Matt expected Griffin to ruin the game for us, but instead we got Gray. I don't mean to badmouth the big man. He acquitted himself very admirably out there tonight in his season-high 20 minutes. But why seven of those minutes had to kick off the fourth quarter is beyond me. He doesn't play meaningful minutes all year, but what the hell, he had a nice spurt there, so why not ride the kid into the ground? Sure, he's already a step slow to begin with, but you never know, maybe a lengthy stint will make him faster. Not to put this all on Gray, much less Skiles. (If ...

Face-full of blame pie
Published 12/19/2007 by Matt <info@blogabull.com> at Blog a Bull: Front Page Posts
Zero-sum blame game isn't just my experimental jazz-fusion project, it's the idea that because there are many people to blame, nobody deserves to be singled out. I don't believe in that. So, even though Ben Gordon was invisible, Ben Wallace was 'the dead body' (credit to BullHockey for that one, although I'll give Wallace some praise for keeping Bynum from doing too much), and Hinrich rediscovered his love of turnovers, this will be yet another rant on Skiles. It'll be a shorter one, because it's just more of the same: completely arbitrary lineup tinkering. I actually thought he suppressed that ...

If I were King of the Lakers

I have been very high on this Laker team since training camp, so to say I would blow up the current roster would contradict everything I have written thus far. The Lakers don’t need change as much as they need to fine tune what they are already doing. If you look at the point guard position, we have the components to compete against most groups in the NBA. We have Derek Fisher’s leadership ...
