The Avs hang in pretty well against the rolling Detroit juggernaut (22-1-1 against non-Central division teams), but couldn’t find a way to get the equalizer past Hasek the dinosaur. In the end, Detroit won 4-2 and the Avalanche failed to collect at least a point for the first time since December 12th.

The Coyotes must keep the game five-on-five and fight for puck possession to have any sort of chance.
