The Thing About A Podcast Is...
Drunk Jays Fans — ... able to get in touch with Cathal Kelly during the show. I talked with him afterwards and he sounded quite disappointed that it didn't work out-- though maybe less so when I told him that he wouldn't feel so bad once he heard what we said about him. We'll definitely have him back sometime for you all-- especially since he revealed that he had an impassioned, tear-jerking defense of Griffin all lined up and ready to go for us. Damn! Look for the new podcast sometime on Monday at theScore.com.

Weekly Gibbers' And Griffins
Drunk Jays Fans — At the start of the 2008 season I wasn't entirely certain that John Gibbons would be with this team long enough for me to continue doing a regular feature with his name on it. I was also really lazy. And very often drunk. But due to overwhelming popular demand (that is, Daryl and at least one other person... I think), I've decided that it's about bloody time to resurrect my weekly examination of something I thought was really good and something I thought was really bad (it's a real high concept piece, ain't it?). So, for the first time in 2008, it's time for me to question my apostrophe usage and, once again, hand out ...

Weekend Blue Bird Droppings
Drunk Jays Fans — ... I don't want to steal the thunder of our podcast, which was recorded mere hours after Jamie Campbell went into hysterics over the Angels win in extra innings yesterday. However, I was surprised to see that no one mentioned in the comments that the fucking ginger cunt seemed a little bit too ecstatic over yesterday's results. ...

DJF Podcast #5: It's On
Drunk Jays Fans — ... The fifth DJF Podcast for the Score is online, and I think we're finally at a point where I can listen back to it immediately, rather being afraid of how horrible it is and avoiding it for three days. ...

You Sir, Are Incompetent
Drunk Jays Fans — ... Last Sunday, we staggered into The Score studios to record our podcast while a particularly vicious form of venom still flowed through our veins. A mere three hours previous, we were forced to endure an oddly enthusiastic Jamie Campbell enter into hysterics as the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim secured a walk-off run against the Toronto Blue Jays. ...

Last Sunday, the writers of my other blog and I staggered into The Score studios to record our podcast while a particularly vicious form of venom still flowed through our veins. How Many Times Can I Write The Same Goddamn Post?
Drunk Jays Fans — ... basically said was the worst player he'd ever seen (I'm paraphrasing), on our most recent podcast. Oh and fans will also probably pretend that they didn't hate Ted Lilly. (And, of course, if they actually did like Lilly, that's a whole other level of warped that I'm really not prepared, psychically, to get into now. Or perhaps ever.) ...

Now Playing…
Bugs & Cranks — Drunk Jays Fans Podcast Volume Who Cares? is up for your listening enjoyment over at The Score. Why am I telling you this? Because I’m on the broadcast, that’s why! You can pretty much skip right through to the 30 minute mark - that’s where I come in. Lord knows I did. We didn’t cover half of the things they hate about me and my writing, so there is a possibility that I’ll get a return engagement somewhere down the line. I also can’t believe that they bumped Ice Cold Wayne for me. Something to ...

Mr. Marcum, Meet Dr. Andrews
Drunk Jays Fans — ... According to new manager Cito Gaston (I'll get used to it eventually), we can expect to see Lind play an everyday role with the big club. There's more on exactly what we think of Cito's lineup changes on our latest podcast, which I'm sure Stoeten will want to introduce considering he scored us an impressive guest for this week.

DJF Podcast #8: Layin' Down the Law
Drunk Jays Fans — Obviously, it's been a crazy week for the Jays, so we thought, who better to weigh in on the major shakeups than ESPN's Keith Law? Keith joined us for an extended chat on the Jays' situation-- and pretty much carried the show for us, seeing as we were still basically shellshocked after the Dutch were outplayed by Guus Hiddink's Russians on Saturday, sending them crashing out of yet another Euro cup. Get the podcast here at TheScore.com.

The sharp tongue of the Law
The Tao of Stieb — ... This week's Drunk Jays Fans podcast was another knee slapper, even if it wasn't downloadable on iTunes for the second week in a row. (And yes, we know there are workarounds to get the damn mp3 on our iPod, but it's immensely more satisfying for us to pout and complain about sitting in front of our computer to listen.) ...

Drunk Jays Fans — ... sway Burnett from taking advantage of his option with a sweet $2 million bonus for each remaining year. One pitcher who won't be going anywhere despite some attention from the New York Mets is Brian Tallet. Tallet was placed on the 15 day DL earlier today with a broken toe. The Jays have elected to sabotage Canada's chances at the Summer Olympics by calling up Vancouver native Scott Richmond thus making him ineligible to represent Canada. On this week's DJF podcast we discussed with Tim Dierkes of MLB Trade Rumors the possibility of the Mets ...

Goin' On A Holliday?
Drunk Jays Fans — Ken Rosenthal reported earlier this week that Matt Holliday of the Colorado Rockies will almost assuredly be moved in the off season. He then went on to claim that where he ends up may surprise baseball fans. While I prefer to think of the Blue Jays as upper middle market with their Lacoste golf shirts and regrettable SUV in the driveway, Rosenthal says that along with the big market clubs, small market teams like Washington, Kansas City and Toronto will be in the running. We'll have to face facts and assume that Vernon Wells and Alex Rios will be in centre and right next season, and ...

Drunk Jays Fans — ... Wow. Could I have come up with a fucking dumber title for this post? Fuck. Probably not. But at least nobody will remember how shitty my titling skills are as soon as they hear Parkes's take on a monster truck PA announcer to start our latest gift of audio gold... Gift of audio gold? Drunk Jays Fans — ... . It's true-- mind-boggling, perhaps, but true-- this is now a full time gig for me... at least until I somehow manage to fuck it up. The blog launched today, and like anything, I'm sure it will take a little while before we settle into our voice and work out a few of the kinks, but that's all going to be done on the fly. Boners Up: DJF 2009 Podcast #6
Drunk Jays Fans — Another week, another podcast, and we've got a special treat: two guests! Boner! This week we talk farm system with New Hampshire Fisher Cats pitching coach Tom Signore, and we preview the upcoming epic, battle-to-the-death series against the Yankees with Peter Abraham of the Lo Hud Yankees Blog. Drunk Jays Fans — Ahh, the sausage. Enjoy the image before the concept of sausages is ruined for you forever by Parkes’s parting shot. Yes, indeed, it’s the seventh edition of our podcast this season, and we’re still struggling for something to bitch about, this time as we interrupt the dinner of the Fan 590’s Mike Wilner. They beat, bash and build stats that would make the Babe blush.
