Sorry, but baseball is not worth dying for

I had planned to write a post today debating which young center fielder you would rather have — Melky Cabrera of the New York Yankees or Jacoby Ellsbury of the Boston Red Sox. A move to honor Matthew Beaudoin, late baseball fan

A petition seeking to get the late Matthew Beaudoin, 29, a day of tribute at Fenway Park. Beaudoin, a Red Sox fan, was struck and killed by the vehicle of an angry Yankees fan outside a New Hampshire bar, according to numerous news accounts.... this seems fitting, and like it could be something the whole blogosphere could get behind.
