Tim Hudson has passed his physical and now may only have to wait for the conclusion of the World Series to have the Braves formally announce his three-year extension.

Digital Sports Daily — MLB.com reports that Atlanta Braves right-handed pitcher Tim Hudson will sign a three-year contract extension following the postseason. Hudson, 34, pitched for the Braves beginning Sept.1 , after missing nearly a calendar year  after undergoing Tommy John surgery on his right elbow. Hudson started seven games for the Braves, going 2-1 with a 3.61 ERA in 42.1 innings.
